Course Description
Date: November 16, 2024 Time: 10-12pm Instructor: Yvette Garcia-Mier In this workshop each student will create up to 10 ceramic ornaments using various cookie cutters. During the workshop students will learn different surface decoration techniques using coloured slips. The instructor will guide them in how to apply slip paints to clay and practice sgraffitto, resist , and inlaying techniques. After, students make their ornaments, they leave them to dry for the technician to fire and glaze their work. Who is this Workshop for? Complete beginners. This workshop is intended for adults 18+. Younger? Reach out to us to ask about teen and children’s workshops. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old T-shirt Bring your inspiration. How long is the workshop? 2 Hours with clean up included. Picking up coursework : Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks to be processed. We first bisque fire your pieces after a week or so once it’s dried completely, then once cooled we glaze and re-fire. Participants are emailed when their pieces are ready for pick up! Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@beyondpottery.ca Cancellations will be subject to the following: -Cancellations within 14 days of the start date will be charged the full course fee. -Cancellations within 15-28 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the course fee. -If the participant fails to attend the course the full course fees are payable. Terms and Conditions -Courses are for Adults 18+ unless otherwise stated -All courses are non-refundable -We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. -There are no partial refunds for missed classes.
