Course Description
Workshop Dates: Throwing: November 9 3 - 5:30pm Trimming: November 16 3 - 4pm Instructor: Wendy Bunner from Mudbunny This is for any intermediate wheel throwing potter looking to get over the hump of that tricky amount of 1kg – 1.5kg (2.2 – 3.3 lbs) and throw larger. Wendy Bunner from MudBunny is our guest teacher for this workshop. You will learn to centre and throw with 5 pounds to start and move up to 7 pounds. And if you are brave, try 10 pounds. This workshop is to learn the skill of throwing with 5 pounds and up, you will be able to make up to 3 vessels, however we will fire and glaze one of your vessels. This course includes everything you need to create your piece. Instruction, equipment, throwing bats, clay, tools, firing and glazing. You are welcome to bring along your own tools! Who is this workshop for? Intermediate potters. This workshop is intended for adults 18+. Younger? Reach out to us to ask about teen and children’s workshops. How long is the workshop? The first session is 2.5 hrs and the second session is for trimming 1hrs. Hot Tips Jewellery and longer nails might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old tshirt. Bring your inspiration. Pick Up Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@beyondpottery.ca Cancellations will be subject to the following: -Cancellations within 14 days of the start date will be charged the full course fee. -Cancellations within 15-28 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the course fee. -If the participant fails to attend the course the full course fees are payable. Terms and Conditions -Courses are for Adults 18+ unless otherwise stated -All courses are non-refundable -We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. -There are no partial refunds for missed classes.
